Costa Rica’s Caribbean Mountains & Riverside

Finquita Pipa

Want to escape hectic city life, and enjoy warmth and cool rivers, simple living and beautiful views?

2.8 hectares (just under 7 acres) surrounded by the Perla river on three sides and a creek on the fourth making it a little inland island. Hear water flowing from every corner, magical healing enchantment. We are in the process of planting trees, clearing a few trees and using them to build a simple comfortable tropical getaway and healing retreat space.

Lot’s of amazing Flora and Fauna, rare palms, howler monkeys, hummingbirds. In the Costa Rican tropics, we eat from the trees: Mango, Avocado, citrus, banana, coffee cocoa, coconut, pipa, yucca, ginger, pineapple and more. Perfect climate for easy Permaculture food forest.

The property is in a desirable location that is just starting to be discovered, about 30 miles from Siquirres, in San Bosco de Pocora ~ a quaint village with a mixture of Costa Rican natives and a small international community. Private, but close to amenities and interesting eco-tourism projects nearby.

Off Grid about 5 miles down a gravel road. Power and clean mountain water can be brought in from about one mile away, but we plan on utilizing the amazing micro-hydro potential for power, and water catchment for water. There is so much rainfall Finquita Pipa will never be without water. Elevation is approximately 2,000ft above sea level. Perfect for a tropical Permaculture Food Forest.

We are in the planning stages of an earthworks and tree planting trip in the summer of 2012.
